Songwriter's Monthly
"Musically, Katie is the soft-spoken girl at the party, the one who dances with unassuming grace and offers everyone the delicate sparkle of her smile. Her songs do not scream for attention, but they are impossible to ignore. Ferrara constructs her lyrics with a keen understanding of the importance of details. She is boldly tender and refreshingly personal. In her lyrics, she constantly plays with the balance of curiosity and insight. Her words contain hints, subtle shades of inference that suggest there is a depth she is coyly keeping only partially concealed. Katie is more than just surface, you could spend endless quiet moments listening and never lose that first-time wonder."

Echostar's Emporium
"Katie Ferrara, okay she hails from LA (but the cool area of LA with the coffee shops and art galleries), it’s not quite London. But she plays a kickass set. She has an undersized guitar which she pulls some seriously awesome sounds from. She clearly has talent. She plays two songs that she wrote – Leaves and The Toast (which she makes clear we understand isn’t of the buttered variety, but of the champagne flute variety). What’s more, she’s really cute, but just occasionally she shows her edge through some of her riffs and the choruses of her songs. Okay, so she doesn’t have the largest following yet, but Katie Ferrara is definitely one to watch out for."
